SORRENTO

Design & Build Project: Sorrento

Area Size:

Project Type: Residential

The high-end residential project "Skyline Peninsula," located at Kowloon Station, features an interior design that embraces modern minimalism, aiming to provide a comfortable and tasteful living environment for urban life. The designer emphasizes open space and functionality, carefully selecting materials, colors, and furniture arrangements to create a serene yet stylish atmosphere.

The overall space is dominated by warm light wood tones, with wooden elements used throughout—from the flooring to the furniture—creating a natural and inviting ambiance. The walls and furniture primarily utilize neutral colors like white and gray, which form a soft contrast that enhances the brightness and tranquility of the space. In the dining area, large mirror installations not only expand the visual perception of the area but also enhance light reflection, making the interiors feel more spacious.

A key feature of this design is the open layout that seamlessly connects the living room, dining area, and kitchen, promoting fluidity within the space and facilitating interaction among family members. Despite the open concept, the designer skillfully delineates functional areas such as the sofa zone and dining area through varied materials and furniture placement, maintaining overall unity while addressing practical needs.

In terms of furniture selection, the designer prioritizes clean lines and practicality. The sofas and dining chairs are chosen for their understated comfort, aligning with the modern minimalist aesthetic. Additionally, built-in storage solutions and multifunctional furniture effectively meet urban families' storage requirements while ensuring a visually tidy environment.

Lighting plays a crucial role in this design, featuring a multi-layered lighting system that includes recessed ceiling lights, pendant lamps, and floor lamps. This setup not only fulfills everyday lighting needs but also adds depth and warmth to the space. The living room walls are adorned with black-and-white art photographs that introduce a cultural touch to the environment while reinforcing the overall minimalist style.

For high-end residential projects like "Skyline Peninsula," clients seek efficient use of limited space; thus, the designer implements an open layout with multifunctional furniture to maximize every square inch. Furthermore, they desire a living environment that balances modern aesthetics with comfort. Large windows allow natural light to flood in, complemented by reflective surfaces that enhance brightness within the home.

In summary, this design concept adeptly merges practical urban living requirements with modern aesthetics, creating a spacious, comfortable, and contemporary living experience that aligns perfectly with the positioning of high-end residential projects like "Skyline Peninsula."
